Many small-business owners have begun to follow a trend set by their larger corporate counterparts and outsourcing personnel tasks such as hiring and firing, measuring staff performance, payroll and benefits.
I am continually baffled on why this outsourcing phenomenon has not taken place in several sub-saharan countries that are pretty stable politically and that have a relatively well educated workforce that speaks English. Examples of countries that fit this profile include: Botswana, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa.
