Why You Need a Website In Our Wired World

Here are six reasons why you need a website.

No. 1 of 6:

Stand out from the crowd. Taking the easy, cheap route rarely wins new clients or influences prospective customers. If anyone can start a blog or be on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, what distinguishes one company from the millions of others? By having a traditional website, you show you have a little investment in the game. Sure, creating new digital marketing channels can boost your business star power online, but these social media platforms should not stand alone.

I really enjoyed reading your post and I agree that a website is a great way for a company to be seen by potential customers. I can't remember the last time that I didn't use a search engine to find a restaurant, a mechanic, etc.

If you're trying to appeal to people around the world though, it might even be a good idea to translate your website into one or two more languages. A lot of people would rather do business in a language comfortable to them, so if you're trying to encourage international business, that might be something to think about!

I'm looking forward to reading more from you!

Great points. Having a quality website is more important than ever for small business owners. However, some simply can't afford a good website.

For affordable custom websites, check out Blue Lagoon Websites. You'll be very surprised at the price (in a good way). http://www.bluelagoonwebsites.com
